Mevlevi Order (or Mawlawi) is one of the directions of Sufism. The founder of this order is Mevlana Jalal al-Din Rumi, who lived a long time in Konya, that’s why Konya is considered the birthplace of the Order. Order united people regardless of race, religion, language or wealth. They are very undemanding, are known for their poetry and a very special dance. They are called – the dancing dervishes. Under a dance ritual is meant when the dervishes, whirling under special rhythm, fall into a trance. For inexperienced viewers it looks like an interesting show. But for followers of the Mevlana it is one of the form of prayer, in which they have an opportunity to completely disconnect from the world and come nearer to God. To conduct such rituals the Order members builded  Mevlevihanes in different cities. One of the most well-preserved Mevlevihanes is located in Antalya, and is now used as an exhibition hall. Every 2 weeks exposition will be renewd. Mevlevihane belongs to the complex Yivli minaret. In 2005, the Mevlevi dances were included in the list of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of UNESCO.
